Jan Künster was born in 1951 in Bonn, Germany. Since his early years painting has been his passion. As a child he has already won prizes at painting and drawing competitions. After the attendance of the school of arts in Cologne he passed a training as advertising graphics specialist and ran an advertisement agency before finally turning to painting. 'Horses in motion' - this term has become a firm part in the artistic world being engaged in the topic 'horse'. It is associated with the name of the German artist living in Bonn - Jan Künster. By using an unmistakable manner and practice he creates his motives out of the field of equestrian sport. The aquarelles cause an impression of lightness but they also reflect dynamics and original power as well as elegance and fascination.
